Cave treasure

In 1911, the official announcement of this cave treasure was made and it is an event that marks the worldwide interest in the Greek hidden land. A story of survival

Geological significance

In 1974, a new Greek-French expedition was carried out under the leadership of I. Ioannou and a new part of the cave was discovered, which was unknown to the first researchers, causing shivers of excitement among naturalists and rabble-rousers. The cave turns out to be a record book of geological events. A major flood has left certified tracks on it. And at the same time, lamps, tools, dagger-legs (cave crickets), bone fragments that tell the story of survival are unearthed from the depths of the earth.
